Privacy Policy — CLOSE

Last updated: October 14, 2026
App: CLOSE (com.closeapp.close)
Publisher: Sheridan Point LLC, doing business as Siyata Studio

This policy describes how CLOSE handles information in version 1.0. It is also published at close-app-privacy.netlify.app/privacy.

Summary

CLOSE is local-first. In version 1.0, your professional network and related app data are stored on your iPhone. Everything stays on your device: there is no account, no CLOSE backend server, and no analytics or tracking. We do not sell your data. Importing from iPhone Contacts is optional. Morning reminders are local notifications on your device.

Information the app stores on your device

Depending on how you use CLOSE, the app may store on your device:

This information is kept using a JSON file stored on your iPhone in the app’s Application Support folder. It is not uploaded to a CLOSE account server in version 1.0 because version 1.0 does not provide accounts.

iPhone Contacts (optional)

If you choose to import from the iPhone Contacts app, CLOSE will request the system Contacts permission. You control whether to grant access. Import is optional; you can use the app with contacts you enter yourself or with any demo data included for onboarding.

CLOSE uses Contacts access only to let you bring selected people into your local network inside the app. Declining permission limits import; it does not require you to create an account.

Notifications

CLOSE can schedule local notifications (for example morning reminders). These are delivered by iOS on your device. Version 1.0 does not rely on a remote push-notification service operated by CLOSE for those reminders.

You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.

Messages, Mail, and Phone

When you tap an action to reach out, CLOSE opens Apple’s Messages, Mail, or Phone apps using standard system URLs. Those system apps handle composing and sending (or placing the call). CLOSE does not send the message or place the call on your behalf, and does not receive the content of what you send through those apps as part of a CLOSE cloud service in version 1.0.

Accounts, analytics, and sale of data

If you later see network activity from CLOSE that you do not expect, treat that as a signal to re-check the then-current privacy policy and App Store privacy nutrition labels—version 1.0’s intent is local operation as described above.

CLOSE Pro subscriptions

This version has no accounts, no iCloud sync, no analytics SDK, and no advertising. CLOSE does not collect or sell data.

CLOSE offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, CLOSE Pro. Purchases, free trials, renewals, and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account under Apple’s terms. CLOSE never sees your payment details, name, or Apple Account email; the app only asks Apple whether a subscription is active on this device. We collect no data. Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Data retention and deletion

Because data lives on your device in version 1.0, you control it:

We cannot remotely delete your local CLOSE data in version 1.0 because we do not host it.

Children

CLOSE is intended for professional adult use (attorneys and similar professionals). It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes that affect how data is collected or shared will be reflected here and, where required, in App Store disclosures.
